The Surf City Run Fitness Expo will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for the enjoyment of runners and their families. Enjoy a variety of food, entertainment,and music, and view some of the latest in health and fitness.
Bring the entire family and enter the kids in the very popular Kids Run. Kids 6 and under will run .5 miles and 7-12 will run 1 mile. All kids receive an official race t-shirt and finish medal! (kids runs are not timed).

All races will start and finish at Huntington Beach High School on the corner of 17th Street and Main Street.
Directions: From the 405 take the Goldenwest Street exit. Travel South on Goldenwest to Palm. Turn left on Palm and left on 17th Street to Main Street.
Awards
All Divisions: Awards for both the residents and open 5K will be presented to the overall male and female winners and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. The top three male and female finishers in the Stroller Division will also receive awards. All Kid's Run finishers will receive a finisher medal. The Kids Run will not be timed.
The Surf City Run benefits the Huntington Beach Jr. Lifeguard program. The Jr. Lifeguards will provide the volunteers along the course and will benefit from the run helping them to raise money for their program, special trips and outreach to the community.

Athletes who participate in this competition may be subject to formal drug testing in accordance with USA Track & Field Regulations 10 and IAAF Rule 55. Athletes found positive for banned substances, or who refuse to be tested, will be disqualified from this event and lose eligibility for future competitions. Some over-the-counter medications contain banned substances. Information regarding drugs and drug testing may be obtained by calling the USOC hot line at 800-233-0393.
